Chinese Radio Gear Removed (click on pics for enlarged images...well worth it!)

Roughly 200 lbs. of 1930's technology....

Rear cockpit.

Battery and Radio Bays.  Many of these brackets are drilled out in the next phase.

Front cockpit with secondary firewall completely stripped of all electrical.  The weights on the floor are to keep the aircraft from tipping on it's tail while the engine is off.

A standard WW refurbished rear instrument panel.  The one in 8120C will be nearly identical.

As we continue to prepare 8120C for refurbishment, all the original radio and navigation equipment has been removed from the plane. This stuff is 1930's technology and is H-E-A-V-Y. To give you an idea.  All this weighs in at just over 200 lb. and will be replaced with approx. 40 lbs. of solid-state, state-of-the-art equipment.
