2/3/10 Progress

Here are the latest photos of progress on 8120C. Despite being hampered by weather (we don't paint when it's raining) and short a few crew members, the work presses on with good progress on the aircraft.

COCKPITS
Rear turtle deck painted with show quality flat black.

Rear cockpit glare shield.

Front cockpit glare shield.

FIREWALL
Firewall with more components installed including the oil screen (yellow), and gascolator and fuel boost/prime solenoid (red).
a
Engine mount test fit...all looks good!

Close up of "slobber pot" (eloquent, eh?).

Rocker covers painted with acrylic black and ready to install on the engine.

FLAP BAY
Customer has decided to continue the cosmetic upgrade with a full flap bay detail. Here are some before shots.
This is the flap removed, cleaned, and brightened, ready for primer.

Pics of the engine paint complete are forthcoming.  We will have the engine installed on the aircraft shortly!
